Leap will be at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne — and The Tower Must Fall, published by Caketown Interactive, becomes the first game to run its meta-game and economy on Leap end to end.
Stockholm, Sweden — August 21, 2026. Leap, the platform that lets game studios design, simulate, and ship progression, meta-game, and live economy systems from a single tool, will be at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne to show a new way of making games, where there is no gap between the design and the shipped product.
Alongside the showcase, Leap is announcing its first full game partnership: The Tower Must Fall, published by Caketown Interactive, will run its meta-game and economy on Leap end to end. The game is set to release later this year, marking the first title to ship with Leap's engine powering it in production rather than as a design-time aid.
"The Tower Must Fall is the proof point we've been building toward — a real game, with a real publisher, running its economy on Leap from design through live operations," said Roberto Mangiafico, CEO of Leap. "Gamescom is where we get to show the industry what that actually looks like."
Leap has changed how I view balancing — full stop. Having a one-stop shop to configure, test and implement all the data for my game is such an improvement over the mess of scriptable objects/resource files, external spreadsheets and importer scripts. Will implement it on day 1 of any future project.
