Simulations
Test and validate your game economy through simulations
Simulations let you play-test your economy, progressions and behaviors without touching a game client. You build a graph of actions, run it once for a full step-by-step trace or thousands of times for a distribution, and read the results on a chart. This section covers building simulations, parameterising them with variables and profiles, and interpreting what comes back.
- Introduction to Simulations — What simulations are and when to use them
- Creating a Simulation — Create a blank simulation or auto-generate one from your progressions
- Simulation Nodes — The five node types, how to chain them, and how repeat conditions work
- Variables — Define ranged inputs for your simulation and plug them into Behavior nodes
- Profiles — Save named snapshots of variable values to switch between player archetypes
- Evaluation Simulations (Single Run) — Execute a single run with full per-step logging for debugging
- Step Insights & Debugging — Walk through an Evaluation run step-by-step to inspect every decision
- Statistical Simulations (Multiple Runs) — Execute many runs and analyze the aggregated distribution
- Graph Analysis & Views — Plot datapoints, set milestones, and save chart layouts as reusable Views
- Comparing Profiles — Run two or three profiles side-by-side on the same chart
